Terms of Service

SummAEO is run by Summone Limited, a company registered in Scotland, company number SC324228. Our registered office is Flat 0/1, 16 Springfield Gardens, Glasgow, G31 4JD, Scotland. You can reach us at steven@summone.co.uk.

SummAEO is an AI visibility check. We ask AI tools (currently ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google Gemini and Google's AI Overview) the kinds of questions your customers ask, and record whether they name your business and who they name instead. We also check your website for things AI tools can read. You get a report with a score, the businesses AI named, and fixes to try.

We may add, change or remove features, or the AI tools we check, as SummAEO develops.

• Give us accurate details, and keep your password to yourself.
• You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.

Every account gets one free check. The free check shows your score, the businesses AI names instead of you, and your top fix. The rest of the report is part of Pro.

A check only uses up your free check if at least half of its AI answers come back. If fewer than half come back, for example because an AI tool is down, it doesn't count and you can try again later.

Pro costs £50 a month. That price includes VAT.

Stripe, our payment provider, takes the first payment when you subscribe, then the same amount on the same date each month until you cancel.

Pro gives you every fix, the PDF report, your check history and up to 4 checks in any 30 days. Checks count under the same rule as the free check: only when at least half of the AI answers come back. Every check that counted in the last 30 days is included, even one you ran before you subscribed. When you have used them all, your next check unlocks once your oldest counted check is more than 30 days old. The app shows you the date.

If a payment fails, Pro stops until the payment goes through.

If we change the price, we will email you before the new price applies. You can cancel before then if you don't want to pay it.

To cancel, email steven@summone.co.uk from the address on your account. We will cancel your subscription in Stripe so that it ends at the end of the month you have already paid for. You keep Pro until then. After that, your account goes back to the Free plan and you can still sign in.

We don't give refunds for part months, except where the law requires us to.

Your results are AI-generated estimates of how AI tools answered at the moment we asked. AI answers change often, can differ from person to person, and can be wrong. A check is a snapshot, not a guarantee of rankings, recommendations, visitors or sales.

The fixes and content ideas are suggestions. Check that they are right for your business before you use them.

You agree not to:

• check a business or website you have no right to represent;
• scrape, copy or resell SummAEO or its results in bulk, or use automated tools to run checks;
• try to get round the plan limits, for example by opening extra accounts to get more free checks;
• try to see other people's reports, or to break, overload or attack the service;
• use SummAEO for anything unlawful.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

Your business details stay yours. You allow us to use them to run your checks, including sending them to the providers listed in our Privacy Policy.

You can use your reports for your business, including sharing the PDF with whoever looks after your website. SummAEO itself, its design and its software belong to us.

We work to keep SummAEO running, but it depends on AI tools and other services we don't control. We can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

Apart from that:

• we are not liable for loss of profit, sales, business or goodwill, or for any indirect loss; and
• our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us for SummAEO in the 12 months before the claim.

You can stop using SummAEO at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing steven@summone.co.uk. If you are on Pro, cancel it as described above.

We may update these terms. We will email you before a change takes effect. If you keep using SummAEO after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree with them, you can cancel and stop using SummAEO.

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts deal with any dispute about them.
